v4.4 advanced .... BOM maintenance includes a component item that has a qty per bill is 0.167. However, when the production entry is entered, this component shows 1. Why is it rounding up .167 to 1? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

I think we have seen this before. Is the Unit of Measure for the component EACH? If it is, change it to something else like EA. EACH always rounds to a whole number, I believe.

@BrianKelly has it - I always warn my people about that when setting up items. It's in the BOM Options.

That's it! I know I have learned that in the past but don;t run across it very often. Thanks to both of you @BrianKelly and @BethBowers

EACH is defined as an integer which is a whole number...... Happens more frequently than I care. But think of it, what is .167 of each???

If that is the logic then the user shouldn't be allowed to enter a fractional amount in BOM maintenance if the UOM is EACH.

I am having the opposite issue - have a client with some items setup with U of M is EACH and the bill, which has a yield of 97%, is coming up with a qty of 1.03 for the component instead of 2. I can't recreate - client is on 5.2.3.
