I think a 90 day +/- release after initial drop for the first PU is also fine. However, timing would be better if Sage dropped new versions in February, with a June PU1. That gives us a September release by third parties and an opportunity to have clients upgraded before calendar year end. My two cents.

Although most of us are chomping at the bit to begin Upgrading our clients to v2026, but are waiting for PU1, I think 3 months after initial release isn't too-too bad (to allow for addressing bugs, etc.). I think I remember previously the initial PU releases typically came in late August.

A bit stressful process. True Commerce wasn't 2024 compatible until 3 months before 2025 was released

Yes, always disappointed but like Carly, "I haven't got time for the pain"......
Before DOGE, Sage rolled out DOSE. They cut through departments willy nilly, and now have minimal coders to haul the water (code). I am waiting on Sage AI to pick up the pace.
And yes, Endpoint takes 90 days to release code, so just when PU1 is released, you have to wait another month or more for them to release compatible PU1 programs.

I think they receive the release 30-days in advance. @Kevin Kawado or @Calvin Morrison any comment (or another MD) as to when Sage turns over the code to you?
And yes, we also insist on waiting for PU1. At MOTM '26, I think the Sage Team was surprised we wait for PU1.

Very disappointed yet not surprised. Any idea how far in advance of the general release the developers get product updates?
I always wait for the first product update before installing a new version. I have a few 2026 upgrades on hold now. It takes even longer because we have to wait for developers to get their programs to PU1 also.
