This seems odd.  Client wants to move to 64-bit Sage to overcome the paperless printing issue encountered with using WIN 11.  To do this with Sage, you run the utility, reload the service, the workstations update and continue forward without missing a beat.

HOWEVER, it requires a bit more investment from the Scanco angle.

Migrating to 64-bit is charged the same as a server move. So you can move servers AND migrate to 64-bit or just migrate to 64-bit for the same cost.  The cost of a server move is $2500.  Let me know if you would like to proceed with this.....

Is this what others have experienced moving to 64-Bit with Scanco?

Seems just a tiny bit excessive.

@Jeff Schwenk  What's the fixed price for the 32 to 64 bit Scanco conversion?  Do they run a conversion utility and then charge your credit card for $250?

Oops, my bad.  I forgot the critical piece of my beef.....  I edited the post to include the missing cost.  They only want $2500 to bring it to 64-bit functionality.

I brought this up months ago in one of our 90 Minds meetings and people looked at me ( remotely ) as if I had two heads. Honestly I'm so used to this look that I'd be hard pressed to remember which of the meetings it was. One of my customers had asked Scanco what the process was to migrate to 64-bit and they did get this response about it being compatible but requiring a paid reinstall of some type.  I'm assured that 32 bit to 64 bit is no problem for most integrations. Except when it is a problem.  If I recall, one issue is that when we started polling about a lot of the ISV integrations it was all coming back as "compatible with 64-bit". Which I guess technically many of these ISV integrations are. We just didn't get a lot of information about what steps/cost was needed to make the switch.

I don't think there is a big issue - except maybe with Scanco. I'm just hoping that we get enough early adopters to provide a heads up if there are any lurking issues such as this.

It's right up there on the ridiculous list with V-Technologies asking $3500 to upgrade Starship.
