    IT staff for very large client is asking for an Architecture Diagram.    I have never had this request before.  What is an Architecture Diagram????  Does anyone have one that can be shared?

    In general terms, it should be a visual representation of the pieces and how they connect. 

    I did this (below image) once for a project where nobody seemed to be understanding the setup (main data flow / backup data flow). 

    For Premium there is no "one size fits all" architecture... but if you listen to their requirements, it's easy enough to make something like this for their needs (e.g. showing WAN links and where to put a terminal server...) using PowerPoint.

    Pardon the off-topic interruption.  I suggest once you hear these types of requirements from a large organization with a formal and highly secure IT environment that your fee should be about 3x what it normally would. I'm completely serious. Been there done that....

    Off target but very accurate.  When you deal with the larger enterprise expect requests from auditors, SOX issues, and all sorts of off topic requests.  However, in my experience, they are used to paying higher rates than typical Sage 100 resellers charge.   Thing big company, big city rates!
