v2018 - Deleting warehouses - What is the easiest way to do this now? We can make them inactive which will hide them from data entry lookups but client wants to make them go away completely.

All warehouses? L/M, Utilities, Reinitialize Data Files.

That certainly is the nuclear option!!! I want to pick and choose warehouses.

I had to do this once and it wasn't a lot of fun. IIRC, we has to make sure there were no entries in the warehouse file - which included any +/- transactions which net to zero. I remember a lot of purging of detail as well as some manual DFDM to get rid of records. As of Sage 100 version 4.40, to maintain data integrity you can no longer delete warehouses unless certain criteria are met: - Quantity on hand must be zero for any item in the warehouse to be deleted. - There can be NO transaction history for any item that has that warehouse. (Purging transaction history can only be done as of a date, not specific items.) - There can be no unposted activity against the warehouse, i.e. a sales order.

Doesn't look like life has gotten any better. Would be nice for a purge by warehouse or a renumber. Perhaps when pigs fly... Thanks

DSD has an enhancement that allows warehouse quantities to be merged, then purged. Perhaps @NicoleRonchetti can shed more light :)

I have used the DSD Utility @MichelleTaylor1 mentioned to accomplish the same thing for a client.

Same as it always was.

DSD warehouse merge utility (as mentioned above). This enhancement also saved one customer who had a recurring problem with 2-digit warehouse codes (with history). Tip: never use a 2 digit warehouse code.
