V2018, customer moved to Hosted Environment and they are being difficult (and that's putting it midly!). They are the Agent of Record for Office365 so the changes need to go through them. My dilemma: The Email Setup in Company Maintenance, the user logon email address to the SMTP Server is only so long, so I have a email that fits. I tested successfully using that email. However, I want to send the documents from another email. What exactly do I need them to do in Office365 SMTP Authorization Email Account to be able to Send as another email from Sage. I have like 4 other email addresses they want to send from for various documents. I already told them to open/configure Relay and they messed it up and now I can't send at all, but requesting they put it back to what it was and I'll start again. TIA.

If they were smart, they would use an SMTP service. That way the SMTP is always simple and the O365 just works...

They setup a 'local SMTP server' on the host and gave me a internal IP (127.0.0.1) and a port. Is this what you're suggesting? Also there is no email client on the server, do they need one?

Send them full red text from the chillkat error messages (when you send as a different user) and have the ""Agent of Record"" fix it.

No, that is what we used to do (use an internal IP and own server), Eventually it will be blacklisted... but that should work as long as it does not look like you are mail forwarding or you will be blacklisted

For Office 365, if they can go to each of the mailboxes they went to be able to send from, and give them the ""Send As... "" permission to the email box you are using to authenticate with, you should technically be able to send as the other emails. If they want to still use the local SMTP server, and not risk being blacklisted, they can relay it through a 3rd party mail server. (i.e: Amazon Simple Email Service), which will allow them to verify their domain, and also add DKIM verification. Now, all mail from Sage will relay through the local SMTP, via SES then to the recipient, with all the correct headers. and you can then use any number of ""From"" email addresses.
