v2017 Standard - The customer is getting a couple of ""out of balance"" sales orders each week. Sometimes the recalculate price button solves the issue but many times the order needs to be deleted and re-entered. Does anyone know the cause of an out of balance order and how to prevent them?

@ThereseLogeais No AvaTax. They have an old and slow network. I wonder if the orders are being corrupted because of all the network traffic. Maybe I should recommend Advanced, but they are on perpetual licensing and Advanced would be expensive. if Advanced didn't solve the issue it would have been an expensive experiment and the finger would be pointing at me.

Have you (or they) tried changing the tax schedule, accepting the order then changing it back? I know that sometimes recalculates it. In my experience, it is usually a tax issue, regardless of whether they use Avatax or not.

Maybe you should recommend they get a new AND fast network!!! Pay me now or pay me more later!!!

Put the offending user on an rdp connection to the server.

@JeffSchwenk I have been recommending a complete network overhaul for years. The IT person is a family friend and he is next to worthless. The servers and workstations are off brands built in his basement I think. The office wiring is a combo-pack of CAT 5 and CAT 5e with CAT 5 punch down blocks. ""... but we have gigabit network cards..."".

Stupid client rate for sure!!!
