Sage 100

v2016 Premium - Unified Login IS NOT turned on. I'm on the server, getting 'Access is Denied. Contact your System Administrator' after launching Sage but not yet getting to the Login Screen. I checked SY_System and Use Windows Login is set to N. Can't run in MAS90 mode either. Any other ideas?

Is there an INSTLOCK.txt file in the server's HOME folder? that will restrict access (we often use that for period end during the day for customers)

rename the SAGE100 folder in the ""documents"" folder for the user??

No go for Right Click, Run as Admin and No go for rename the Sage 100 Folder in users\nhanson\Documents.

is the SQL server SA user configured correctly (in the premium login)?

Wouldn't that affect everyone though? This appears to be only affecting me trying to get in as I haven't heard from them and I was just on a call earlier today with them on other stuff.

Have you run the Sage 100 premium SQL Settings Utility?

Also check the permissions in SQL Server for MAS_USER and MAS_REPORTS.

Doug - wouldn't both of these suggestions affect all users or not?

Possibly. Does the error / denial only happen on the server?

I believe so as they have not contacted me that users are getting this error and I was on the phone with my main contact just 2 hours ago and no word of this going on.

just a thought maybe it only checks that in at login, sorry i dont have a text server to try that one. also if its only the server i question do you have the permissions and or is the workstation setup corrupted on the server ect.

Is UAC turned off?

If you can get in using MAS90 mode, you'll know it is the local workstation software. (It could also be something like a missing mapped drive referenced somewhere).

Is the SOTA.INI file corrupt? Perhaps a copy from another workstation?

OMG! - Customer implemented Unified Login without telling me, but i looked in the Sy_System and it said NO to Use Windows Login. Just logged in (successfully after they set me up!) and in Sy_System, field 30 Use Windows Login = N but System Config Security Tab say 'Use Unified Login = Y"". How does that work?

Premium... the effective setting would likely be in a SQL table.
