  • 1.  v2016 client owns one SI designer license. Bought

    v2016 client owns one SI designer license. Bought a viewer license two weeks ago. Why would there be a need to swap out the registration key? I thought the product registration button took care of this stuff. I clicked on the registration button but nothing updated. Portal shows the view license. Not making the ""usual"" Sage sense. Do I need to open a case with support for a fix?

    Have you checked the portal to see if the keys changed? Often they do. If the portal doesn't show the Viewer as an item, email SalesAdvisor @ Sage and ask them to update the portal.

    Portal shows the addition of the viewer license. However, the registration does not update within SI license manager

    Try going into License Manager, Tools, and clicking on Register.

    Good Lord! How do people who call Sage tech support with any regularity not go mental!!!!! My first call is terminated because the auto attendant does not understand my ""3"" tone. So I call back, but now it doesn't understand my customer number, switch to a person in the accountants network who can't find my record at all, then the system crashes and she suggests calling back in the morning. Call again to navigate the maze, wait on hold for 23 minutes only to be told that I am in wrong Q, they switch me to tools where I am terminated because I want to wait on hold and not leave a call back number. Attempting to hold the lid on the anger. And I made $25 on this sale. Wow!!! So I call yet again, the call back is my only option. I verify the number for call back, then attempt to state my name. I am cut off before I can get a word out. But I am reminded that they will only call ONCE. If I MISS it, I have to try this crap again tomorrow. As I said, Good Lord!

    frustrating - delete one license, hit the perform registration and see if that does it. Did you email 'salesadvisor' to confirm the license server has been updated even though the Portal shows it that way?

    I had three interactions with my ditz sales advisor. She said to call tech support. If you are going to live by the computer for registration, you really should have good registration links.... The SI registration process has been crap since day one!
