V2015 Advanced running on a WIN 2008 R2 Server along with a WIN 7 PRO VIRTUALIZED on the same physical box. v4.5 runs without issue on the virtual Win 7/Win 2008 installs. Having issues getting the v2015 ODBC path to appear correctly on the WIN 7 workstation. As you can see in the snapshot, the ODBC path is a mapped drive (the path of the server install), NOT a UNC path that we normally see. The v4.5 path displays as a UNC path. I uninstalled both versions from the WIN 7 virtual install and reinstalled. v4.5 ODBC works, not v2015. Has anyone seen such strangeness? Any thoughts on a solution?

Is there a hidden share to Sage directory?

Not sure? What might that do if there were?

I am able to change the path manually. Try putting in the UNC path

The path does manually change by retyping it but it defaults back. If open v4.5, then look at the path, it is the v4.5 UNC path. Then if you open v2015, then look at the path, it is the mapped drive.

what is the path from which you are starting the install? That needs to be shared and a UNC path even though they are on the same machine.

Will double check. Standard MO is to do it as you indicated.

Thinking about throwing in the towel and just going to v2016. Probably will encounter the same error but what the hay!!! Any caveats regarding uninstalling v2015 from the server. Actually, I have never uninstalled advanced from a server, just migrated to new servers.. TIA.
