v2015 advanced - Client reports one users sales order date is stuck on 9/6. Does anyone know the cause and/or resolution?

Does the issue follow the user if they log on using a different workstation or is it specific to that workstation?

Good question. I am checking. I imagine if it follows the user it is a renaming of sy_console and sy_workstation.

Do they have CRM integrated? I have a client v5.2.1Adv that some of the CRM users entering orders the ship date is in the past. Only way I could figure to get it fixed was have them log into Sage before log into CRM. Though they don't want to do it. See one entered today and ship date is 6/13/16. Whatever date shows in the ship date corresponds to the date of that user in master console.

Unfortunately, they don;t have CRM. Your issue seems similar. They wont get back to me until tomorrow with answers to my questions. Best guess is something messed up with the user ID / sy_workstation and/or sy_console.

Is it the date on the sales order default screen? Or any chance that the user is launching sales order entry from a shortcut instead of though the launcher?

Do they log out and back in again to reset the date (according to the date settings)?

I just applied the sy_console/sy_workstation fix. I will be able to see if that fixed my problem tomorrow.

@ThereseLogeais Yes, they have the prompt for accounting date set. It is only happening to one user. I will log in and get more info later today. @KellySappington Please keep us updated on the status of your issue.

do they get prompted to change the date, but it just still used 9/6? or are they just not prompted at all? can they change the module data and the problem persists? Take a look at SY_ModuleDate.m4t maybe there is a corrupted record for that user. You can delete all of the records for that user (you'll need to determine his/her UserKey first)

My question is, does that user log off?? If not, the date will not change.

Ok I still see some old dates today, but not as many. The 6/20 one is from the user setup in Sage for the CRM integration.

@ThereseLogeais Yes, I understand. The date will stay the same and will not prompt for another date (defaulting to ""today's date"") until they exit Sage 100 and log back in. I am not sure. They have been using Sage 100 for 15 years so you would think they would try that before contacting me but who knows.

I sent an email to the client Thursday night asking if they log out, and, if the user experienced the same behavior if she logged into Sage 100 on another workstation. I received a reply from the client yesterday ""It is working properly now"". I guess it magically started working again. I am sure this was user error and not data corruption or other system related error. Most likely as Therese suggests: user not logging out.
