v2014.. Went live one week ago after conversion from Accpac to Sage 100. Customer has a lot of orders to Canada. They are having issues shipping UPS because there is now where to enter a Canadian zip code. What do other companies do to manage zip code for shipments outside the US?

We had to go through and do an import of the zip codes/country codes. I think the country codes are now included in 2015. And UPS also requires I think a three character country code - at least on the integration that my user was doing. There's a ton of Canada codes.

2015 has the option to install Canada zip codes. I would run a 2015 update, or install 2015 in a test environment and see if the zip code file can just be replaced in 2014. I suspect you could do that without even an import.

@DougHiggs - If you would like, I can send you a copy of the v2015 zip code file that has the Canadian loaded. save yourself some time. If you want to upload the files that wayne refers to, search the forum as I know they have been posted previously. Otherwise, I can send you that information also. V2015 also has the three character country codes.

@JeffSchwenk I have a client with a seasonal workforce. Many employees have a foreign home address. Is the three character country code available in v2015 Payroll module?

@JeffSchwenk When will you be able to email the file? Just want to be sure you didn't already send it to the wrong email address because I haven't received it.

Word of caution for those that have loaded the Canadian zip codes via VI using the import tables that Moira and I have posted in the past and try to reload them using the Canadian tables in v2015. It appears to double up the records. I installed v2015 on client site last week where I had loaded the Canadian codes last year. As an after thought, I decided to load them again using the Sage table (thinking I would get the most current information overlaid). Afterwards, I looked at the table using DFDM. It had 1,727,000 records. The v2014 zip code table that I loaded last year has 808,000 records. Looking at another install that only has US zip codes PLUS the Sage Canadian zip table, it has 962,000 records.
