If that user had already been using the workstation to access Sage 100, sometimes the SERVER can have errant processes for that workstation that prevent user from connecting. We had a similar situation where re-booting the SERVER solved a users workstation problem.

Thanks @WayneSchulz . Tried the suggestion of running the Sage 100 Standard ERP 2104 Workstation.msi"" program. It ran longer but still bombed with an error message of mscoree.dll was missing. I looked at the installed programs and I don't see .net 3.installed and I have seen the workstation install loading that at time. Wondering if this might be the issue.

Thanks @WayneSchulz - Now need to figure out how to determine if .net 3.5 is installed. I tried clicking on the prerequisites 3.5 exe but didn't appear to do anything.

@JeffSchwenk, doesn't it show up in Control Panel/Programs?

@BarbaraGoldstein, I would have thought it would be there, too; but on my Win 7 Pro I just see Microsoft .NET Framework 4... @JeffSchwenk, you can look in Control Panel - Windows Update and view update history. I have several updates (like on 5/15/14 and 8/13/14) for ""Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7...).
