  • 1.  v2014 premium - running the Inventory Sale History

v2014 premium - running the Inventory Sale History report there are some incorrect amounts. Several months show negative amounts and other strange values. I reinitialized IM_ItemWhseHistoryByPeriod and ran the Recalculate Item History utility. The same, incorrect values are on the report. What table(s) are used by the Recalculate Item History utility to populate the IM_ItemWhseHistoryByPeriod table used by the Inventory Sale History report? Any suggestions on how to get the correct amounts on the Inventory Sale History report?

I seem to remember, that figure is recalculated when you rebuild sort files in the S/O or A/R module.

After I reinitialize IM_ItemWhseHistoryByPeriod the Inventory Sale History report is empty (no data). Then, after I run the Recalculate Item History utility the same bad data appears on the Inventory Sale History report. So the Recalc utility is recalculating something. I am trying to determine what tables the data is being recalculated from.

If the period posting history or item customer, vendor and warehouse history by period files become damaged for any reason, this utility will realign and recalculate item history based on transaction data. could they be on a fiscal calendar and something to do with that cropping up?

@alanniergarth Based on what transaction data? Do you know what table(s) the recalc is looking at?

They are on a fiscal year. 13 periods of 4 weeks each so not calendar months. I am not sure that is the issue because the first few item codes I looked at were displaying negative values.... exactly the opposite of what it should be. For example, I created a Crystal report using the AR history tables and the amount for period 1 of 2016 should be $18,455. The Sales History report was showing negative $-18,455. Other values are nonsensical.... Should be $38,345 and showing $53,250. Looking at the detailed transaction non of the numbers in the date range come anywhere close.

Is IM set up for fiscal periods?

@JeffSchwenk Yes. Fiscal periods. @alanniergarth I believe the table is IM_ItemTransactionHistory. It appears the Sales History report selects records with sales type transaction codes.
