v2014 premium - Accounts receivable credit checking. In AR, Setup Options, Credit tab, ""Automatically Recalculate Aging"". If the selection is ""Always"", what does that mean? When is always? Every tenth of a second even if no users are logged in?

Per Help: Automatically Recalculate Aging Select whether or not aging is recalculated before credit limit checking is performed. Select Never to prevent aging from being recalculated before credit limit checking is performed. Select Always to always automatically recalculate aging, and update the Customer file before credit limit checking is performed. Warning Selecting this option may affect the performance of the credit limit checking process in data entry.

@ThereseLogeais I read that before I posted. So.... credit limit checking is performed during data entry. Is the aging only recalculated for the customer associated with the sales order? I need to create a report that uses the aging categories. The report could be run several times a day. Do I have to run an AR Aging before I run the new report so the data is to be accurate?

Ah, gotcha. I'd say it doesn't run every tenth of a second if that's what you're hoping. :smile:

I am not sure running an aging recalculates these numbers but I believe printing or previewing statements does.

There is also the Aging at the bottom of Tab 3 in Customer Maintenance. If the Automatically Recalculate is set to Always, the icon next to ""Aging as Of"" is grayed out. If set to Never, the icon is active.
