I think you need 2 imports - one to create the deposit record and one to import into the Cash Receipts Header/Detail file.

Maybe try the NEXT function on the deposit #?

I think this is a two stepper. First the deposit then the details. Here's some prior discussion on this - https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/11724253

Thanks everyone. I know I have created cash receipts imports in the past. Apparently my dementia is kicking in again.

I know this is old...but I am also stuck with this.. I did the two step..and it is importing the deposit ok. When I test the cash receipt, is says it imported it, but when I hit the ok to import is says that it fails because the distribution is out of balance. ANY CLUES??? need to upload over 3000 cash receipts...thanks

I don't know if this is the out of balance or not, but in the one I have that works, the H.PostingAmt is a running total. I do a temp field which is the amount of the cash receipt for that line, and I make H.PostingAmt = H.PostingAmt + TempField.
