v2014 advanced - customer hired an outside IT company that has a cloud solution for entering sales orders. This company is going to create an ""import"" using the Sage BOI to create Sage 100 Sales Orders. I am unclear if tax should be hard coded or does it get re-calculated during the BOI ""import"" to sales order and/or when invoicing the customer.

The business object will calculate the sales tax for you.

Thanks Lee. That is what I thought from the testing I did. I put in a sales order with taxabvle lines then changed the sales tax on the totals screen. When the invoice gets created the tax gets recalculated. They want to use Avalara to calculate the sales tax ""in the cloud"" on their site during sales order entry and pass it through to Sage SO entry. I smell a disaster in the making.

I've sometimes had to use the AR Sales Tax recalc utility after importing into SO with Avalara. That was in earlier versions. One customer is now upgrading to 2014 and I did NOT have to do the recalc.
