v2013 std. PU 5 Trying to access the test company but it keeps telling me that I need to convert the files. Which I have done numerous times. I suppose the easiest thing is to recopy the live company data to TST, but who ever said life was easy. Does anyone know where MAS looks initially to see what needs to be converted?

if it keeps telling you to convert, it is usually due to some master developer modifications. If you can copy from the live company you might save a lot of frustration by doing that. If not, then figuring out what is triggering it can be little convoluted. but you can start by looking at the company record in company maintenance and see if any of the modules listed in the bottom of the screen show an older version. from there : go into DFDM for the company and module and open the ""options"" table (ap_options for example) look at the field ""newSystem$ make sure it does not have ""Y"". also look at fields ""dataVersion"" and ""DataSublevel"" Dataversion should match your version (5.00 for example) DataSublevel is typically 0.00 unless there is a developer modification This is where the frustration may set in. you might find that all these are ok and you are still prompted to convert data.

I had this same issue on a v2013 upgrade. It was due to the fact that there were MD mods in the prior version which were not reinstalled in the new version. Solution was to delete the record(s) from the SY_EnhancementModule.M4T file in the MAS_SYSTEM. After that we were able to copy companies again.

Thanks all. I had the client copy the live data again and it is now full steam ahead.
