Usually webinar recordings are awful. The people sound as if they're phoning in from the International Space Station. Not so this webinar recording from Netsuite -- ""Sage Users Share Why They Upgraded To The Cloud"".... more specifically the Netsuite Cloud. First testimonial is from a Peachtree (Sage 50) upgrader. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ergUobkj4Y

This is worth a listen. The two companies spotlighted were using Peachtree/Sage50 and Businessworks. Do not dismiss this as simply a low end upgrade. The two products that these companies moved off are Sage's traditional feeder base. Sage seems particularly vulnerable with any requirement for eCommerce integration as well as any company using lots of separate pieces to run accounting (where Netsuite, etc can offer an integrated solution).

There is no doubt that ecommerce centric companies are good candidates for Netsuite which was built for ecommerce and ERP in one solution from the beginning. We also know, that's still a relatively small portion of the overall client base. But throwing out a $200 to $1000 peachtree perpetual license, to pay Netsuite $200/user/month is a big stretch. It's like comparing MAS90 functionality to Oracle. Also, one person commented about switching after suffering 1.5 days of downtime due to a crashed server. This kind of a switch is like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. If they had our (shameless plug) EverSafe! solution, that downtime would have been eliminated for a fraction of the long term cost of switching to Netsuite. http://disaster-recovery-services.net
