Has anyone used the Landed Cost feature in PO to capture tariffs?  Any suggestions if you have or if you have not, what did you do for <g class="gr_ gr_156 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="156" data-gr-id="156">customer</g> with China shipments and the tariff surcharge?

Did you use PO Landed Cost for distributing the tariff charge to the item's cost?

If you want to know if scripting is possible to automate the landed cost amount based on a calculation, check this out...

Not really unless you have specific questions.  Set up is pretty basic and they're all satisfied with how it works.  On the sales side we had one who didn't want to implement a price increase to cover the costs (mainly because their large Internet customers told them them they wouldn't accept a price increase) so we talked about options for automatically adding a line to each invoice but they opted to do a price increase instead.

We have set up a couple of clients using Landed Cost for this.  They need to be made aware the amounts can only be entered during receipt of goods.  (or receipt of goods/invoice) They need to estimate the amount if they don't have the actual value.  It accomplishes the objective.

Assuming you don't currently have Sales Tax Reporting enabled in Sage 100, and provided you're willing to charge the tariff to your customer as a separate line item on the invoice, a good way of handling this is via the Sage 100 Sales Tax functionality.
