Subject:
""xx user limit exceeded - No Valid Activation found"" occurs when starting Sage MAS 90 or 200 (xx = user license).
Possible Resolution:
Note: The following resolutions apply only to the error that references the actual user license. If ""1 user limit exceeded"" occurs, see the Related Articles section below.
(Sage MAS 90 4.xx only) If the user license has not been exceeded, and there are Vista workstations connecting to MAS 90. Opportunistic locking may be causing this error.
Refer to the KB 408851 ""How to stop the granting of opportunistic locks in Windows""
(Sage MAS 90 4.x only) If the user license has not been exceeded, a Sage MAS 90 task might not have terminated properly.
Have all users exit the program.
Delete the contents of the ...\Mas90\Locks folder.
Browse to ..\MAS90\MAS_System\, and rename the following files:
SY_Console.m4t
SY_Workstation.m4t
Note: If one of the session files cannot be deleted, either a user is still in Sage MAS 90, or the server still has a lock on the file. If all users have exited, release the lock on the file. It may be necessary to reboot the server to release the lock. Sage Customer Support is not responsible for assisting in this task. If necessary, seek the assistance of a qualified network administrator.
Have everyone exit Sage MAS 90. Verify $ACTPVX.BAT has the correct user/unlock key. If not correct, edit the file and correct it. Then execute the file.
(Sage MAS 200 only) If the error occurs when starting any task within the program:
Close Sage MAS 200 and all Pvxwin32.exe sessions listed in Task Manager.
Restart Sage MAS 200.
