User is on 4.4 - trying to do an Inventory Issue Transaction Entry with an item that is FIFO. I login and can see that the item was entered in twice - two separate batches. First time it took what appears to be average cost. Second time standard cost. At first I thought the reason was that the item only had one in stock - and once one issue ""took it"" then the cost defaulted to standard. Testing on a similar item does not seem to support that. When I do a test on another item I cannot duplicate the above - the item seems to pull the correct cost for both transactions.

It's interesting to me that when i look at the transaction detail for an issue on the transaction tab it doesn't show the tier it took the items from. When you look at the the Cost detail tab can you see the tier it took the items from. If there were no tiers and no standard cost it might use an average cost.

Wayne, another thought about a FIFO issue using average cost is that this could happen if the issue needed to use multiple tiers to get enough quantity and the combination of costs in the tiers approximated the average cost.

I thought the same thing. I picked another item where there were only 4 on hand. I issued 4. Then issued 1. Both sets came out at the same correct cost. I'm going to look at the specific item's cost history later today when I talk to them since I'm suspecting maybe something is funny with the item costing.
