I've read as many posts in here as I could find regarding the Use Lockfile option.  Since it seems that it causes more harm than good to not have that option checked on in each company, why it is an option?  Under what circumstance would you not want that option selected on?  I know that it should be on in a Terminal Server environment but when is it not a good option to have on?

Of course, a client just experienced the worst with direct deposit stubs being generated at the same exact time in 2 separate Sage companies.  One company had Use Lockfile = Y and one company had Use Lockfile = N.  UGH.

I have read both sides of the discussions and find it equally confusing.   When it is on, I get support calls because of some lock up and when it is off I get support calls like your experience above.  Damned if you do and damned if you don't.  Perhaps this will go away if Sage ever fixes the converter reinstall issue every time there is a windows update!!!!
