Increase pricing makes it better for customers and end support for people who don't want to pay more. And a new user type to increase simplicity of the buying process.

Mobility for Manufacturing is the Bar Coding peice. Then why not call it Bar Code. What we really mean is another third party product.

So we have 3 years to switch all the manufacturers to xTuple:-)

I don't really object to 3rd party apps being incorporated if they are tried and tested and work. But no need to beat around the bush with partners.

Yes, Mr. Customer, I know you don't have folks in your warehouse that can use mobile devices, and yes, I know you probably won't see new features that you'll use, but we're going to double your maintenance on those modules whether you upgrade to them of not. Just because our financials require that.

Absolutely! I think the Microsoft model is better than the Mac model, where playing nicely is concerned! But I'd rather Sage buys modules that work instead of take a decade for a framework re-write.

Linda needs a solid state drive - I keep hearing her computer whine. Seriously - do a lot of the 90Minds folks have many manufacturing clients? We've lost the majority of ours, just because Sage hasn't kept up with technology and everything else that has been available to other companies for awhile now. I'm with Wayne - Distribution is really the key to our clientbase, not manufacturing. And now that we really can't make money in the sales process for it, I just don't see us selling manufacturing. What say you?

@JimWoodhead The pricing module, NumbingCloud comes out in pieces in 2020.

In other words, Sage is divesting itself of Sage 100 manufacturing

$100 says we never see the end of that 5-year plan

So now we know nothing about it and 2 years from now we may be able to support our customers, but in 2023 it will really be a part of the product formerly known as Sage100cloud.

No, no, no...Sage is continuing to support the legacy modules because they need funding to pay for the purchase of the source code from Scanco.

Sadly, Linda continues to be a poster child for why you do not necessarily put your internal expert as the presenter to your customers.

I disagree that Linda is the internal expert. Just sayin'...

No @BrianKelly Sage will not support the legacy modules but is raising prices in the short term before they stop supporting the modules they haven't invested in for years while they build up the funding to buy the source code from ScanCo which will never be finished.
