Upgrading v4.3.19 to 5.1.3. They have an integration (custom providex) between 4.3 and Xcart shopping cart. They would like to move the shopping cart to Magento by the end of the year. Which developer has the best overall integration considering functionality, ease of use, price, service, etc.? I know a few of the players including In Sync, Websitepipline, and Certipro solutions. Please share your experiences! Thanks!

Add ISM to the list - BJ was talking about a product they have developed for PHP integration. Whatever that means.

We have also developed a Shopify Integration with Fisher Technology. We had a number of customers using this platform and then built a standard integration with Sage 100 and SAP Business One. We liked Shopify because of the built in SEO and analytics. Our Sage 100 customer that went live saw significant increase in sales/traffic from former website.

Thanks Wayne. I will look at ISM..btw php is a programming / scripting language used for developing web sites. @GaryFeldman What is the name of your company? Does Shopify compete in the same market as Magento and Xcart?

http://www.shopify.com/ Our integration costs more than the actual shopping cart. If a customer does 50 orders per month it starts becoming very cost effective.

    Yes competitive, but less expensive.

They were on Good Morning America twice last year. They had over 7000 order each day. Seems like it would be cost effective. The integration between Xcart and Sage 4.3 cost $17K.

Ours is $5,000 for a base integration B2B or B2C (which in Shopify are handled as 2 sites). Magento tends to be more custom code, and is more flexible (aka more expensive). I will check on the benchmarks for our integration service volume as i think my customer site is doing about 1,000 per month B2C with Sage (I know we have higher volume with SAP). I will also check with the developer regarding website setup flexibility. If you want to see my customer site with Sage 100 go to www.taylorbrandsllc.com

@GaryFeldman Hard to believe that site was created with Shopify. I thought Shopify was for very small, do-it-yourself sites. BTW just ordered a case of handcuffs and a pallet of machetes.

All of the meta data for the site is stored inside of Sage 100. They have multiple image fields, attachments, etc. That job was very custom and our out of the box integration is not that sophisticated.
