I'm trying to upgrade a client currently on 2020 to 2021 - vanilla, financials only.
When I browse to the old folder and type in the password, I get this - No Companies found to migrate.  I feel like it either thinks the 2021 is really 2020, or the 2020 is already 2021, but I've double-checked six ways to Sunday and they both are what they are.  Anyone else seen this and just to shy to post about it?
OH and we even copied it over to the new server in another folder and still got the same message.

Hey, good idea - but no.  There are just 2 records, both say current version is 6.20 - all looks well.  :-(

Company data alternate folders, where you don't have access to the company folders?

NTFS permissions can follow the copy.  Be sure to check.  Double-click into the source sub-folders, in the session you are trying the migration, making sure nothing is read only.

...and silly question, you did check the option to migrate companies that already exist in the destination?

I don't get that far.  This happens right after entering the password for the old version in the migration utility.

I started to wonder that also, @Wayne Schulz, based on the KB article - even though this isn't an Upgrade from 3x:
