Upgrading Mas200 4.30 to 4.5. Only a few of the companies have inventory and utilities went well except for 1 company. There is 89 pages of items on the Inventory File Comparison Report, all from 1 warehouse. When I run the Inventory Balancing Utility, it appears to hang, it won't give me the fields 'change action by valuation', it won't let me scroll down to see the last time it brought in, won't give me the update button. I tried going back and rebuilding key files in 4.30, but still no success. Am I being impatient with the Balancing Utility or what is max lines it will hold? Any suggestions as to what else to do?

As long as it takes to run the Inventory File Comparison report is usually how long it takes to populate the balancing utility. It may take a while.

It only takes about 1-2 minutes to run the File Comparison Report, but I have waited over 10 -15 mn for the balancing utility screen to finish populating.

Rebuild inventory files in 4.30. Im1, im2, im3, im5. At least.

So last week, I rebuilt the IM files a couple of tiimes and the inventory balancing utility finally worked. Trying to do the live conversion tonight and I have rebuilt the IM key files probably 20 x, copied to a test company, purged history, rebuilt key files again, nothing I do seems to be working. The utility never gives me the option to update. Does anybody have any recommendations as to how to fix this? Migration won't let me proceed without fixing this. Help?????

Copy it to a new company code and try converting the new company

Thanks Jim. That seems to have worked. Last night I had copied to an existing test company but that didn't work. This morning I created a new company code and copied, rebuilt IM key files and it worked. I'm also wondering if I have a resource problem as last time it worked first thing the following morning too as with today. Oh well, on my way forward now. Thanks again.
