    Upgrading MAS 200 version 3.71 to Sage 100 Premium 2013: can this be done in one shot or is an intermediate step required?

    to SQL? I believe you can go to 2013 Advanced first, and then you can convert to Premium

    Phil,, are you coming from SQL and upgrading to SQL? if so I have the steps or are you coming from providex and going to SQL?

    I think you will actually need to do a 3 step upgrade since 2013 only supports upgrades from version 4.0 or newer you will need to upgrade to version 4.x then upgrade to version 2013 then migrate to SQL Don't be too disappointed. We are doing a 3.74SQL to 2013SQL upgrade. We have to first migrate them off of SQL version 3.74 to Providex version 3.71 THEN we still have the 3 step upgrade that you have to perform.

    I should note that this is what Sage Tech support told us we would need to do - if anyone has a short cut, I'm all ears! we have quoted it but it is not scheduled to start until next month when they get new servers.

    Does PVX to SQL have to be the same version, or can it be 4.5 PVX to 2013 SQL? If it has to be 2013 to 2013, what happens with the credit card vault in the parallel conversion?

    I believe Sage recently updated a KB article and said that you could go straight from 3.71 to 2013. @MichelleBennion has been working on an upgrade like this and I believe everything worked ok - not live yet but testing.

    @EricAnderson That is good news for us and I'm sure for Phil too. @PhilMcIntosh looking back through our notes, there is a tool available from Sage sales management to convert from PVX to SQL. Since we are only at the quoting stage we quoted based on worst case scenario and assumed we would have to do both steps. The client that we are working with has no credit cards so we did not delve into that question at all.

    I'm sure you are all talking going from v3.71 to v2013 in the SQL version, but if your aren't, FWIW I just did a 3.71 to 2013 std migration with minimal issues.

    I'm talking about standard and advanced, not sql which I'm sure requires extra work. good to know Jeff
