Upgrading from 4.30 to 2016.1 Everything migrated perfect. Then when converting data I get ERROR 26 Invalid Type in the PRDXXX.soa file. Called Sage and was told to reinitialize file. I am still looking for a way around. I think it is not data related since it happens in ALL 37 companies they have. Anyone seen this before???? If not...will need to reenter all earnings and decuctions and copy to all 37 companies

Nothing here - I'd think about making a backup copy of a 4.3 company and doing some experimental DFDM - scroll through for any odd looking records or fields (especially for signs of a third party enhancement that could have been uninstalled but left behind a stray field or two).

If you backup and reinitialize the file, does the migration complete? Trying to figure out if that is really the problem

If I reinitialize...it does complete conversion. The error is Error 26-variable type invalid in program PR_levelconversion.pvc line 1740

Not sure how many earning/deduction codes they have but could you try deleting them in groups of 5-10 and see if you get it to the point where it converts. That would point you to the offending code.

Any add-on's at anytime that might have put something into this file. The fact that its on all companies indicates it is a global program change
