Upgrading client from 4.5 to 2016. Have DSD CIDP enhancement latest version installed. Have error on registration whether I use Web or File, but after failure it still lets me into the Item Maintenance screen. Error is: Encrypted data does not match enhancement records. Registration unsuccessful. Any thoughts?

did DSD send a .enc file with the link to the software? If so copy the file into the SOA file and use the file method. If not can you use Demo mode till Monday morning?

Does the serial number match? We've had several instances of wrong encryption files. Or the file is unlocking a different enhancement (if multiple were purchased with different expiry dates)

Also make sure you remove any existing ENC file in the SOA folder and Copy the new one into that folder

The enc file should have the serial number with an enc extension as Robert said.

OK, doubly weird. The client renewed while still on the old version but I had the new version installed and waiting to convert this weekend. I thought I updated on both versions with the same .enc file, but obviously not - the new version has a new Sage serial number for some reason. (WTH?) I must have missed the error when I did it on the new version before. I think we can survive until I can get a new one Monday.

Email enhancements@dsdinc.com with the serial number and someone will generate a correct enc file for you.

Weird - client name just says Inc now in System Config - they had a comma in their name and it looks like it stripped off prior to the comma.

Yeah, but WEIRD. I'm going to go recheck their serial number. Makes me nervous.

Was the customer account number in the old format (not starting with 4) when they sent you the previous .ENC unlock file? (like maybe from the old Sage Enhancements group). I have run into this a few times going from older Sage Enhancements to new DSD enhancements before.

Not sure about the customer number, but DSD sent me out a new .enc with the new SERIAL number first thing this morning and all is well. Client had no issues in the meantime. YAY!

What? DSD is using the SAME key generator program that Sage uses?????

Really @JeffSchwenk??? ... Sage had issued a new serial. Once DSD had that correct serial number the license was regenerated and it worked flawlessly...
