Upgrade/Year End Question. - Client is on v4.40 PU9 - Needs to upgrade to v2014 for year end Payroll and A/P updates. Multiple ""hooks"" in several modules between SAGE 100 Standard and several custom Access databases. Programmer states he will not be able to test all his ""hooks"" in v2014 by year end. Can I migrate the v4.40 data and convert to v2014 after the last payroll and vendor checks are written in version 4.40. Then perform all my year end tasks (W2s, 1099s etc.) in v2014, using Aatrix to process tax forms. electronic filing, etc. Then sometime in January 2015, when the programmer is ready, I would migrate and convert v4.40 data to v2014 again. What am I NOT thinking about were this would NOT work?

I think that'll work. We have a customer with several companies who just upgraded to 2014 except for one company with customizations. We migrated and converted that company's data and then we will copy over their payroll once they have finished for W2's, etc. In January, we will do some testing in 2014 and when ready, recopy their live MAS_XXX directory and reconvert.

That is exactly what I will be doing with several of my clients. Install v2014, migrate the companies, convert and process year end in v2014. When the time is right, remigrate. This is even easier because you don't have to screw with the TTU reset.

I'm assuming then that the 2015 Q1 TTU will load on the old version. Regarding TTU reset do you just install 2014 TTU when printing W-2s and then install 2105 TTU after that?

If the Paymaster has both v4.40 and v2014 icons on her desktop, and Aatrix software installed on her local C: drive, will Aatrix be able to connect to both versions? Or should we install Aatrix on a non-payroll user to access v2014 and process year end?

I have loaded Aatrix on non supported releases before. Haven't ever had an issue but it appears all bets are off this year....
