Upgraded from 4.50 to 2013. When entering a Sales Order or Invoice and trying to insert a Miscellaneous item, the /F2 brings an empty Miscellaneous Item List. But if I go to Miscellaneous Item Maintenance, they are some available and checked to be used in Sales Order.

    Did you convert ALEs?

If you manually type it in, does it take it?

is it a customized lookup? any chance the ""initial display"" check box is unchecked?

Check the CI_Item file for blank records, or try and create a new ALE

where is the ""initial display""? The weird thing is that it is in multiple companies

if it is multiple companies then initial display is probably not the problem, but when you create a custom lookup on the very last screen there is a checkbox at the top

Once the blank list comes up have you tried using the ""find"" to see if that will display any records?

ah...that initial display...I tried the find...no luck. What I did realize is that when I convert the ALEs...only the AP & AR come up in the conversion log. How can I recreate the ALEs??? I did that once, but cannot remember how to do it

Library Master, Main, User Lookup Wizard

Are there any extended solutions or enhancements? A customer had blank misc item lookups and an updated program file resolved the issue.

interestingly, I did find a knowledgebase article that might help. link is below or search on keywords ""Lookup is blank when using the F2 key"" https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=41026&sliceId=1&cmd=displayKC&dialogID=86061&docType=kc&isLoadPublishedVer=&stateId=86065&docTypeID=DT_Article&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl

We have two customers having this issue. Our tech has been playing phone tag with Sage. As a temp work around, we created a custom view. They come up fine in the custom view.
