Upgraded customer on Friday night from 4.3 to 4.5 PU4. He's telling me today that when he creates a new item and tries to accept without a product line, it tells him 'product line is required' (as it should), however, if he then accepts again, it tells him 'primary vendor is required' but will not let him add the primary vendor. They can copy the IM item from another item and then they can add the primary vendor but not for a new item. I tried this in my PU3 and PU4 to make sure it didn't break but mine works just fine. He does have some UDF's in CI ITem but says he ran the update utilities and still getting this issue. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

Any chance they have the Primary Vendor field set as ""required"" in Custom Office?

Thought about that but it sounds like it won't accept a primary vendor when they try to add one. I'll have him check that though too.

Is this adding an item on the fly, or just from Item Maintenance? There seems to be an issue with the Primary Vendor field in this version - we've had several reports (I'm one of them) of clients who apparently have the Primary Vendor DIVISION field filled in somehow but not the actual VENDOR. Does this client have divisions?

Interesting. Was this Required in v4.3 also or was there a hiccup in the conversion?

I'm thinking a hiccup in the conversion. He's pretty smart/knowledgeable in MAS so I think he would know if he had turned it on.
