Upgraded client 4.3 to 4.5. Issue is in History files for IM. Beg Bal is wrong (and yeah, I recalc'd). If you go back and try to find where it went off, you can go back to 1998 detail and see that SO entries are not being added into the Sales column, but IA is being put into the Adj column correctly. Then about 2005 or so the SO start adding into the Sales column correctly, but the damage is done re rolling balance. Anyone ever seen this? Getting ready to post to Sage. Happens on more than one item.

Did you do any imports for history files?

Well, not that I'd probably remember, but I do see the SO transactions in the detail file and do NOT see them added into the summary file, even after the recalc. And I'm sure I didn't import in - it was coming from BW back in the day when you couldn't get squat out of BW.

Do you have those IX transactions and could that have anything to do with it???

Well, I have one dated 1961 (WTF?) but it has a zero qty.

Well, I like the one phrase from your posting that the Summary tables will have corresponding Detail. I note they didn't say the Detail will have corresponding Summary.... Time to call Sage. I have another bug to call them on, anyway.
