Upgrade to Sage 100c 2016 Advanced from 4.05 Premigration Util. want UNC to existing MAS, entered it and get ""The \\server\mas90cs\mas90 cannont be accessed"" - yet I can enter this path on the new server to the old server via windows explorer without issue.

From Brett's link: The Alternate Directory fields (13 and 14) in the sy_company file were populated. I removed those field values (from my copy of 4.05), and that resolved it.

Those fields were clear in SY_Company. The old server is not seen in the network listing in Windows Explorer and so it does not show in the 'network' list when you browse from the Pre-Migration path icon. I've contacted their IT group, for the second time hopefully they'll respond.

Thank you for that @WayneSchulz - glad to be reminded of that great article. IT did respond to quote ""we are working on it"". I'll go through the steps of this article to verify everything, have to wait until IT is off that server.

copy the old version to your local drive and migrate from there.

You cannot use a local or mapped drive. I did copy the MAS90 directory from the old to the new server, still had issues, Error 0# SY0CTL.SOA. Turned out to be permissions. Once all rights were on for the copy folder, was able to run pre-migration. Thanks all for the help.
