Sage 100

If custumer currently in v2015....with Payroll...looking to upgrade...what woule you recommend...2018 or 2019?

The Payroll module is the same either way - you need to go with the most current release.  I'm holding out for the first update for 2019, then will be moving ahead with several upgrades.

I am hoping that before I go live on some upgrades that I will have a PU but I'm not specifically holding out for the first PU.

v2019.  The PU1 for 2019 will be released in the next month or so and as @Michelle Taylor has posted, payroll is the same in both versions.  Hopefully, you have done some PR upgrades or this is a smaller client to cut your teeth on.

Be careful before committing to 2019. Some ISV's are like gentleman farmers in the speed at which they move to 2019. I have Starship where some pieces are available and others not - like Starship Link and Rate Quote.

With other developers, you have to request the upgrade in advance as it sometimes hasn't been started yet.

And with Job Ops/MFG it's not entirely clear which parts are going to be available when and with what features

Wayne, I think you have that issue with ANY enhancement.  I am just now sticking my toe in the water with my vanilla installs.  And even that doesn't always work.  Looking for a simple Sage Abra to PR link to PR v2019 and I am getting stonewalled by Sage.....
