Sage 100

Upgrade from v450.8 to Sage 100 2018 and getting a data conversion error in at 5.10.00 in v18. The error is Failed to create table IM_IM_ItemTransactionHistory, PHYSICAL UPDATE ABORT: IM_ItemTransactionHistory - Unable to access the file <C:. IM_ItemTransactionHistory is just under 1,900,000 KB. Sage advised to run the UFAR utility on v450, and purge some data to get the file below 1,500,000 KB. I have run the UFAR and have run the IM Utilities>Purge Item History 2x with different dates and so far the file size has not changed at all. I see there is also a utility under the CI menu but I suspect its for the Misc. Items since under CI and UM has its own. Anyone know what utility will help reduce the IM_ItemTransactionHistory?

I've also had to run the Rebuild Key Files utilities to actually reduce the size of the file after purging data. The data is purged but the file size does not change.

I think if you run the rebuild key file utility and click on the optimize file option in upper right corner, this will shrink the file size for you.

Thanks for the tip on the key file, very appreciated. I found the problem or part of it anyway - there is a segmented file ending in .001 due to large size and I did not recognize it and had removed it prior to migrate. The UFAR I think wiped out the main file in meantime trying to troubleshoot. I have pieced it back together and will try again with the .001 file included.
