  • 1.  Upgrade from v2015 Premium to v2017.2 Premium. Al

    Upgrade from v2015 Premium to v2017.2 Premium. All the BI Explorer Views & all company codes (checked so far) are all totally blank with no data, no Settings (not even STANDARD) are present. The Navigation Pane > Preview Pane + Explore + Tasks are all missing as if just an empty BIE shell is there. I suspect this is some Premium trickery, has anyone encountered this or have any idea what may be causing it, never seen this before or what to do.

    Are you using the new desktop or the classic desktop?

    We are using the classic old style...does it matter?

    I've had problems with the new launcher and BIE. I'm not sure how BIE works with Premium.     My client just went through this but with Advanced. Here are his comments: It was a combination of giving domain users access to the system file wow64 and increasing virtual video memory. Increasing virtual video memory would not be possible in the older server. It appears the .json file in standard view wants more access than classic. I also upgraded the host and virtuals from 5.5 to 6.5 (VMWare on ESXi Host?)
