Updating Aatrix on an Applianz box to run 1099s and the system hangs up when it tries to update ""REDISTRIBUTABLES.EXE."" The server is Windows 2008 R2 Essentials SP1. The Sage version is Sage 100 2016 Advanced.

Wait very patiently. If you have not given it 15 or 20 minutes you are being inpatient.

Make sure you're letting it run long enough. I've seen it take up to 30 minutes in some cases. You also might want to try doing a manual install instead of automatic - it seems to go faster.

Hi, Chuck. Make sure user is administrator on machine and UAC is off. It sits on this screen a LONG time--perhaps 10 minutes or more. Then, the screen after that takes awhile, but at least you'll see that it's working.

I imagine that you want to do the update on the Applianz Workstation Template, correct?

I'd expect that if you're using Applianz (I missed that part on your original note) that you should do it on the workstation template. It needs to be done on the box that the user is using. No need to do it on the server. I'd expect that the user might not see the changes until the workstation template is refreshed manually or over night.

I just tried the update again on the workstation template. I chose the SECOND option to manually update rather than automatic. This update required more manual input but it updated successfully in a matter of minutes! C'est bon!
