_**updated:**_ MAS 200 4.30.18 **Workstation Setup error: ""Please insert disk 1 that contains the file layout.bin""** Workstation Setup was uninstalled, and now we're trying to reinstall. Basically after the last screen of the wkstn setup before the install begins, it hangs for a few seconds and then the error comes up. What's also interesting is if we go in via MAS90-mode, upon accessing Customer Maint we get 'AR_Options not found' (err 12, SY_MAINTUI.pvc, 1514) - only on this one pc. And what's even more interesting is the same 'AR_Options' error comes up when we try to access Vendor Maint. Per the closest article in the KB (err 65), we got everyone out of Sage 100, killed all pvxwin's on the server, and renamed sy_workstation and sy_console but no help. Win7 Prof SP2 with PU18 installed UAC is off We've tried installing a million different ways, via mapped drive, via unc, via copy of wksetup folder on local desktop, using servername, using ip, via wksetup.exe, via autorun, via ""run as"" administrator, logged into the computer as administrator, etc.

Uninstalled via add/remove programs? Turned off all AV before installing? Turned off any other AV or anti-malware programs?

Also found this error listed - not Sage 100 exactly but this error message does seem to occur for other software too: http://support.accountingfilerepair.com/error-please-insert-disk-1-that-contains-the-file-layout-bin-when-applying-update/

Thanks, @MoiraGoggin. Uninstalling via Add/Remove was not an option since the Wkstn installation isn't showing there. But we'll certainly consider your other two thoughts; hadn't seen that specific article you posted. It almost seems like this is corrupt beyond repair, and I'm close to suggesting they just wipe the computer clean and re-install everything ibnlt the oper sys.
