Updated information on Sage Payroll tiers. I guess this is supposed to clarify things a bit. Looks as if they are saying that the only employees that count toward tier are those who get a paycheck (employees who get multiple checks seems to only count once). I do like that it appears payroll tiers can only be paid directly to Sage (ACH or CC) -- no partner billing. Except Sage suggests you explain to the customer all about subscription and what that means (aka - stop paying and lose access to payroll).

Had my first renewal of existing user last week. Since Sage had them over the barrel, they paid up.

I think most will pay. I've lost two payroll users and don't have more than a handful remaining. The way I see it the ones staying are those who need Sage integration or Sage is doing a good enough job and is cheaper than alternatives. GLAPARs are wising up fast.
