The GL_MainAccount table represents the 1st segment of the account number. Do you mean that you changed the status in G/L Account Maintenance or in G/L Setup Main Account Maintenance? If you changed an account in G/L Account Maintenance, which edits the GL_Account table, then you would not see a change in the GL_MainAccount, but you would see the Inactive status in GL_Account. I was able to import into both 2020 and 2022 GL_Account to change the status from Active to Inactive. One cannot import into GL_MainAccount in either 2020 or 2022 as there is no business object for it. Maybe I'm messed up. I don't do a lot with G/L, but maybe someone just wants you to upgrade.

Can't believe I did that (of course the GL_Account table - Account Master) - makes me even more concerned that Sage could not tell me that and she logged into the machine to see what I was doing :).

Just for clarity because someone will potentially search and find this in x years and have the same question.

1. You can VI into GL_MainAccount
2. You can change the status of Main Accounts in GL_MainAccount
3. However, GL_MainAccount is just a template for creating full accounts GL_Account - it's not the table holding your full chart of accounts ( for that you use GL_Account)
4. So to change the status for an account in your fully setup chart of account ( GL_Account )  you really need to import to GL_Account ( or both ) because just importing to GL_MainAccount is not going to flow through to ALREADY CREATED GL_Acocunt records
   
   I think that this is what everyone is saying though some of it is implied and not readily apparent via a quick read.
