Update on vendor members:
1. Spoke with Angela Nadeau and her team today - explained vendor member benefits
2. Also have spoken with Brian Dunn at SWK
3. Consistent message is they are eager to market to our members
4. I'm going to add both of their marketing people to our Wordpress so they can type their own blog post. They will NOT be able to make the post go live without our approval (that's a feature of Wordpress).
Items to consider:
1. I think we should have a group webinar to talk about 90 Minds and what events are happening at Sage Summit. I propose this for Thursday July 17, 2014 at 1pm.
This will give us an opportunity to introduce our vendor members on the call, let them give a sales pitch (no Powerpoint) and provide some pre-Summit exposure.
I'd also on this call like to make sure that members know where and when our social events are happening, about the expo crawl, about group messaging to keep in touch.
This will probably be a 30-60 minute call.
2. At Summit we may want to consider a more formal type meeting if possible - could be before our social hour - just to maybe have an in-person midyear review and another opportunity to put names to faces for both members and vendor members. I think attending MOTM is a big selling point for vendor membership and it's tough to keep vendor members interested when our MOTM is not until February.
3. I am proposing February 20 (Friday) and February 21, 2015 as the two official dates for MOTM 2015. Same location as last year. I think before mentioning this to members we should double check that there are no date conflicts with other shows.
- Question: Do we want to have a Thursday pre-event technical training? Based on what occurs at Summit - people may be looking as MOTM as their technical ""must attend"" conference and it may make sense to host on-site training (for a fee) on the day before the conference.
- I would like to see us grow to about 100 total attendees. This is probably the upper limit of what that site (Embassy Suites) can hold for a conference.
