    I found the following article.  The client is using Sage 100 2018.

    This article references to others.  One of those talks about the registry permissions.  I have used that frequently on workstations and it has been quite effective.  Does anyone have a modified solution for the registry for a Citrix or Terminal server as the workstation recommended citrix path is valid but doesnt seem to have the same content on a citrix server.

    Have you tried assigning permissions to the Sage 100 PDF Converter node to everyone?  I generally start with the underlying nodes, yet unless there's an issue (or in use) you don't see them.  I think I've only ever had to assign to the top folder for once customer.

    I changed the permission on the same path as indicated for the workstation in the registry without success.  Sorry for my ignorance but what is meant by Node?

    Got you.  We are on the same page.  It is not solving the issue.  Client indicates it is intermittent but honestly, I could not get it to process at all.  I did see one listing that was a redirected printer.  I know that can cause issues as well.

    Yes, they can!  They just need to turn that sharing off, but that, too, can have side-effects.  Sorry I don't have any more insight into this one.

    Redirected printers are a problem with Paperless if you have Sage installed locally too.  For users it should be fine, as long as their printer has an appropriate driver installed on the server. 
    We had one issue with Citrix having to do with user temp files being redirected, but it was fixed by customer IT so I have no insights there.  The paperless lockfile type error is almost certainly registry permissions (reset by Windows Updates occasionally).
