  • 1.  Unit Price grayed out in Sales Order entry

    Hi All,

      Have a client on 2023 Advanced no SP.   There have OM and have been tested for a while.  They just enabled it in their live company and now in the live company the unit price and extension are grayed out in Sales Order entry.   No customization for this (tested escape trapping), no scripts.  It is available in every other company in the system besides the live company.  I am using an account that has all rights in all companies.  I tried resetting the grid with no effect (however I am not the only one with the issue).  There is no customer pricing or active price levels being used. I am compared the setups in SO, IM & OM and they are all identical.  I called Sage and the tech basically went over everything I was looking at (good to have someone be sure I am not blind) 

       Does not seem that it would be a program issue or it would affect all companies.   I am in the process of checking SY_GridDefinition   

    Any thoughts would be much appreciated!   As you can imaging the client is a bit freaked out

    There is a PT and CH Flag that needs to be turned on for sales order lines to be Printable and Chargeable.  My guess is the conversion did not properly updated SO Detail Lines.  Even for sales orders for non OM related orders, this needs to be turned on.

      Bingo.  The detail file is missing all the OM fields.   Is there a way I can trigger it to do the conversion again?     FYI – the user did it on their own and I suspect that users where in when they tried...

    You may be able to use the SY_Activation_Bus approach for the SO module and the company affected.  Here is the KB article on this. 

    How to update files or tables from the dictionary using the SY_Activation_Bus program (sage.com)

     

    You may want to do this for every module under the affected company to be sure all tables match the data dictionary.

    EDIT: Make sure no users are in the system and there aren't any tables being locked by external integrations.

    @David Speck II I had no idea that article existed.  Thanks for sharing, I could have used that information in the past.  @Robert Osborn In addition to OM, you need to run it for the Sales Order Module.  That is where all the work ticket components live, in the sales order.  Here is a list of modules impacted by OM.  I'm doing an upgrade now and it reminds you these modules are impacted.

      That was what I had mentioned before.   I am wondering if it matters what order I do it in – I suspect not but I just make a backup company and am going to try it there.    OM touches a LOT of things. I will run activation for all of them.
