Does anyone know the procedure for uninstalling eBizCharge from Sage 100?  I have a customer who tried it several years ago and went back to just using a terminal.  I need to upgrade them this weekend, and EBiz says they can't provide documentation but I need to schedule with support for them to uninstall, and they are dragging their feet on setting a time...

Or has anyone upgraded with a defunct EbizCharge and not had a problem with not having on the destination side?

I have not done this, but eBiz doesn't do their install until after the files are converted, so you would think...

We had a similar experience with Ebiz a while back with them "dragging their feet". It was more that eBiz wanted to talk to our mutual client directly and try to understand why we wanted to remove the product. I can only assume that they were worried about losing the client. As turned out, this demand to talk to the client directly and "dragging their feet", only solidify the client wanting to leave. This is not unique to Ebiz for us, another CC gave the same experience to us.

Now for uninstalling, yes we had to get them involved. (Once client confirmed it on that call). There are a number of files under the AR folder that they over-write in additional to their own files. Alos a few in the AR> Custom Folder as well as the usual suspects mentioned already (links folder, sy_classenchangecement, etc)

Like most 3rd parties, Ebiz has been quick and always helpful to us in installing the software including last minute upgrades. Very few have good documentation on removing the software that they share.

    Good luck this weekend.

I had a client purchase eBizCharge and the installation contact is:

    Phillip Nguyen, Implementation Specialist

    20 Pacifica, 14th Floor, Irvine CA 92618

    Direct/Text: (888) 500-7798 x 126 | Implementation: (888) 500-7798 ext. 3000

    Website: ebizcharge.com | Email: implementation@ebizcharge.com

You might try emailing that implementation address on the off-chance that they reply. I don't recommend eBizCharge at all after them ghosting me on a recent client install. In my opinion and experience dealing with some payment providers has become like the wild wild west.

Does it show up in the System Configuration modules list?  If so, and it's Standard or Advanced, I'd take a folder copy, uninstall from there, then run the migration from that copy.  The enhancement specific data files / fields would still be there, but the program hooks should be gone.  Of course, if it's Premium everything gets more complicated.

As usual, testing is highly recommended.

I removed Repay during an install last year, and they were equally unsupportive.  I had to guess... and believe I just ignored it during the upgrade until after the migration, where I then removed some table records manually (sy0ctl.soa, SY_ClassEnhancement,...).

@Phil McIntosh From what version do you want to remove it, and are they moving to Paya, by chance?  I have a client on v2021 who plans to switch to Paya. I don't see from my notes whether I requested instructions from Century, but I received a tool from Paya.  I have not tested it, as my client has not moved forward yet. I would certainly test it in a non-production environment first.

@Barbara Goldstein - they went back to just using a terminal a long time ago, but thank for posting the utility!

Well, the utility didn't cause any harm, but Ebiz still showed up on the list of things that need to be reinstalled after migration.  Sage 100 is running OK without it though.

Removing the "l" record (lower-case L) from sy0ctl.soa should fix that.
