    Posted 15 days ago

Client is getting the message "Unable to password protect pdf document" when printing PR Direct Deposit Stubs.

Manually re-typing the employee password fixes the problem. BUT, they have 300+ employees. Is there a faster way?

Does anyone know if importing the password works? Does Sage do the encryption in VI?

I have already followed all steps in Sage KB - "Unable to password protect pdf document" printing PR DD stubs via Paperless Office

    https://us-kb.sage.com/portal/app/portlets/results/viewsolution.jsp?solutionid=224924350055112&page=1&position=0&q=Unable%20to%20password%20protect%20PDF%20document

    No Product Update was installed
User DOES have full permission to the pdf directory
PDF Folder does not reside on the Sage server (They are on Standard and this has been working fine for years)
Run as Admin does not resolve the error.

They are not sure if Sage has been excluded from A/V. Checking with IT.

    TIA

Changing the PDF folder solved this customer's problem. Same resolution as Wayne suggested above (copied below). We tried all options in the Sage KB and the only thing that worked was creating a new folder.
