Unable to create direct deposit interface file"" - background: client just upgraded to 2014.3 on Win 2012 server, Windows 7 workstations. New IT firm. IT does not want to give users local admin rights. Everything else seems to working fine. Path is set correctly in Payroll Options. When I open Windows Explorer, the shared folder is available (M drive). When open PR Options and click the folder button at the DD file location field, network drives show up with a red X on the drive icon. There is no login challenge, and when you re-select the path, the file can be generated. Anyone run into this, and short of making the users local admin, is there a permissions setting that will resolve this?

Sage 100 Standard or Advanced? If Advanced, it could be the M drive is not available from the host or server. Use a UNC path instead.

Okay. You might try a UNC path instead of a mapped drive anyway.

I have found that standard doesn't like UNC pathing for DD field in set up. I always have to set the UNC via DFDM.

I just noticed a post in Sage City that the ability to use a UNC path will be included in version 2015.
