Unable to change the Spec Set path inside FRx 6.7 after server migration: ""Rows, Columns, or Trees from this Spec Set are in use. To clear In Use flags, change to a company for this Spec Set and compact the database."" The Sysdata path is correctly pointed to the new server inside FRx, but in trying to update the Spec Set path for the new server/location, I get that above message. And I can't export the Spec Set either. Per the KB write-up ""for a company that uses that Spec Set"", I have tried to change to / save as the Default company in order to try and compact the database, but upon selecting the company, it just seems to hang on ""reading company file"". Any thoughts out there?

Had this a couple weeks ago. i think it had to do with the path no longer being valid in FRXConfig.ini in the program files folder plus in local settings - FRX Software - frxconfig.xml. As with most of these things we'd toyed with a bunch of config files and I'm not sure that I wrote down the exact steps that solved the issue however ultimately our biggest issue was the workstation not having the drive mapped to the SYSDATA folder.

I just installed FRx on two Win 7 64 OS machines today using a non mapped path to the sysdata folder. There is a cfg file in the sysdata folder that has a path in it also.

I couldn't find any files that contained the wrong/bad path. Although we couldn't export the Spec Set on the client's system, we were able to do so on our local computer via the .f32 file - so we did a brand new FRx install on the client's system, and imported the .tdb file.

As near as I can tell there are several different config files: The two keys ones that I remember: Locally: C:\Documents and Settings\""Users Name""\Local Settings\Application Data\FRx Software\FRx 6.7\FRxConfig.xml Shared/Network: Frx32.cfg (on network use UNC and be sure to have \ at end of path) I usually look at any other CFG files as well but think only these two were in play.

Thanks, Wayne. I'm pretty sure I looked at frxconfig.xml but didn't see any applicable paths in it. And frx32.cfg appeared to have the correct sysdata path - although now I wonder if I was looking at the local file. And system.cfg only contained the path to the Rates Table, which also had the correct path.

I'd love to find a list of all the CFG that controls this
