Unable to change printer. Invalid printer specified. SO_Invoice...see attachment for full message)"" - when trying to print a network printer in Sage 100 2013 (standard). Worked in version 4.5. Works if I set the network printer to the default printer. Works for non-Sage printing. IT gave everyone full rights to the printer. I'm stumped.

Is there a printer saved in the crystal report? Shouldn't matter, but something to look at.

@EricAnderson Have you tried to reboot the computer. Seems like I saw this once before and that seemed to solve it.

What appears in the printer drop-down box? Anything? Or does this come up when selected?

Is it a network printer or a local one? TS connection, i.e. a redirected printer?

network printer - directly from workstation (Sage 100 Standard), many of the other users are running Sage through a Citrix app though - I'm going to see if they have success from the citrix app printing to the network printers

Did you look in SY_ReportSettings to see if there is something goofy there? This is for an error 88 but may be worth a shot. 1.Verify that the Printer specified in the Printing task is online and ready under ""Devices and Printers"" in windows 2.Open Library Master, Utilities, Data File Display and Maintenance 3.Open ...\Mas90\Mas_System\SY_ReportSetting.M4T. 4.Click Key Scan button and select the report record. 5.Click the Edit button and change the following fields to 0: ?21 - PaperOrientation ?22 - PaperSize ?23 - PaperSource ?24 - PrintDuplex 6.Reprint the form or report.

@EricAnderson We have a client with the same error...were you able to narrow down the cause?

I never was - she was constantly sidetracked and unwilling to spend the time to test some possible resolutions. I did let her know that it might be a good issue to use one of their 5 Sage cases on, because I wasn't able to find a quick fix (and they don't like to spend money). I'll follow up and see if they ever got it resolved.

I have a client with the same issue. The weird part is they can preview and then print without issue. They can print one division but then have an issue with another division. Rebooting seems to resolve for a few weeks.

Any updated notes on a possible resolution that can be added? So far, my experience has been users on a Citrix farm trying to print multi-part to a network printer. It does not error out if they remove multi-part. I have deleted all SY_ReportSetting records and recreated the form code, and I do not get the error when printing multi-part from the application server. Any other tips would be appreciated.

Ah, that sounds like my recent 2013 upgrade also using Citrix. MOST of them able to overcome it if they go into Setup and make sure it's the same printer. NOT multi-part for my client. And they can preview and print.

It appears that multi-part does work to a local printer but not network printers. We're going to try a brand new form I guess.
